The land where the town was installed was owned by Diego de Vivar, a devotee of San Gaspar, and whose religiosity made him grant his patrimony. (Antig\u00fce\u00f1a Village Honors A Wise Man, 2010)<\/p>\n<p><strong>Church<\/strong>: the temple of San Gaspar is of baroque style, with similarity to the facade of the church of La Merced, in Antigua Guatemala.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Curious facts<\/strong>: The name of the village comes from the devotion to St. Gaspar, one of the Magi.<\/p>\n<p>The village is home to the Albergue Hermano Pedro, dedicated to serving the needs of mentally and physically challenged children.
