It was damaged by the earthquakes of 1773, after which it underwent several repairs. This included the construction of a turret and the inclusion of a Lamy Amp Lacroix clock of French origin. (Owens, 2022)<\/p>\n<p><strong>Curious facts: <\/strong>It is built between two convents, the Convent of the Virgin and the Convent of Santa Catalina with the purpose of serving as a bridge to the nuns confined there, since when taking the vow they had to avoid all contact with the outside world. (Melgar, 2015)<\/p>\n<p>Today<strong>: <\/strong>It is an icon of Antigua Guatemala.
