The fa\u00e7ade of the church has the image of San Agust\u00edn on the upper part. The rest of the frontispiece shows images of other saints. There is also a dome, a bell tower and luxurious altars inside. The convent had a two-story arcade. The earthquakes of 1773 caused its destruction, the dome and the main altar collapsed.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Curious facts  <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>According to records, in 1938 it housed a carpentry shop and an oxen corral, but was vacated when Antigua Guatemala was declared a National Monument in 1944.<\/p>\n<p>It was dedicated to the memory of Bishop St. Augustine of Hippo.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Function: <\/strong>It is in ruins and closed to the public.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Location  <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>5th.
